The TFTT Combat Medic
course has been structured after repeated requests from
tactical officers and military personnel to provide a short,
affordable program that focuses on basic lifesaving
procedures under tactical conditions. The lead medical
instructor will be James Kreter, M.D. and Max Joseph will be
the lead tactical instructor. The participants'
successful completion of the course is contingent on the
proper response to oral, written and practical exercises.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:
Describe the most common aspects
of acute trauma
Describe the dynamics of wound
ballistics
Describe the principles of threat
assessment and command and control in casualty events
Execute casualty evacuations
under stress
Execute break contact drills
Demonstrate an understanding of
accepted acute trauma responses by first responders
including:
a. Rapid assessment of acute trauma victims
b. Airway control
c. Cervical spine stabilization
d. Circulatory dynamics and homeostasis
e. First aid response for chest, abdominal and
extremity trauma
